Adds Tools > Plugin Virtualization.
What it does:
- Installs a must-use loader into wp-content/mu-plugins.
- Lets administrators quarantine selected active plugins.
- Quarantined plugins are removed before normal WordPress plugins load.
- Generates a signed sandbox URL for each quarantined plugin.
- A sandbox request temporarily allows only that quarantined plugin while normal traffic keeps it excluded.
- Fatal errors from sandbox requests are recorded in wp-content/wppv-sandbox-fatal.log.
- Supports normal active plugins and Multisite network-active plugins.
This is request-level isolation, not an OS/container sandbox. WordPress plugins execute in the same PHP process, so a normal plugin cannot create true process/container isolation for arbitrary plugin code without external infrastructure.
